# MAPROUTE

> MAPROUTE (maproute.app) makes animated travel-route map videos in the web browser: add your stops, pick a map style, and export a video in which the route draws itself from stop to stop, for Reels, TikTok, Shorts and YouTube. Free to use with a small watermark; made by F1 Communications I.K.E., Athens, Greece.

## Features
- Route building: search places or click the map, up to 50 stops; import a GPX track or a Google Maps directions link; start from 40 famous routes (Route 66, Magellan, Around the World in 80 Days and more).
- Travel modes: 6 (plane, car, bus, train, boat, walking) with 28 3D vehicles; car, bus, bike and walking legs follow real roads and trails.
- Styling: 14 map styles (including satellite and 3D terrain), 13 ready-made styles to start from, colour palettes, fonts, line styles, flags, a distance counter, globe view and flat, tilted, follow and street-level cameras.
- Photos: up to 12 per stop or leg, with captions and frames; your logo on the video.
- Music and sound: 51 built-in tracks in 11 moods (upbeat, inspiring, cinematic, adventure, chill, road trip, jazz, world, electronic, classical, simple loops), all public domain (CC0) and playable on their own before choosing, or your own file, started from any second; whoosh and pop effects.
- Export: rendered on the user's own device, frame by frame.

## Formats
- MP4 and WebM in 1080p at 30 or 60 fps: 9:16 (1080×1920), 1:1 (1080×1080), 16:9 (1920×1080).
- 4K (up to 3840×2160) with Pro; needs Chrome or Edge on a computer.
- Animated GIF up to function(){throw Error("Attempted to call GIF_MAX_DIM() from the server but GIF_MAX_DIM is on the client. ## Prices (EUR, VAT included where applicable)
- Free: unlimited exports with a small "maproute.app" watermark; no account needed. Every feature can be used in the editor, previews and watermarked exports (4K is Pro-only).
- First clean (watermark-free) export: free when you sign in.
- Credit packs: 3 clean exports for €5, 10 for €15. One credit = one clean 1080p export (30 or 60 fps); credits never expire and are only spent when an export finishes.
- Pro: €12 a month or €59 a year (save 59%): unlimited clean exports, including 4K, your logo or brand kit, GPX tracks, bigger or smaller labels and pins, and an opening title and ending card; unlimited saved projects (free accounts save 5). Cancel anytime; Pro lasts to the end of the paid period.
- Pro renewals are charged at the plan's current price; a price change is emailed at least 30 days before the renewal it applies to.
- Earlier purchases: credits bought before 8 October 2026 keep their old rules (logo and GPX tracks included, never 4K), and older accounts' unused sign-in bonus includes the logo and GPX tracks too.
- Refunds: purchases are delivered immediately and are final (the buyer waives the 14-day withdrawal right at checkout), except when something doesn't arrive or doesn't work as described; Pro can be cancelled anytime to stop renewal; failed exports cost nothing. ## Commercial use
- Exported videos may be used for personal and commercial purposes, including ads.
- Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License (ODbL): every export that shows the map carries this credit, which must not be removed.
- Built-in music is public domain (CC0). Famous-route photos are public domain or CC BY and are credited on screen.

## Privacy
- Videos render on the user's device; photos, music and finished videos stay there unless a project is saved to an account.
- No advertising trackers; analytics are cookieless.
