MAPROUTE

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and F1 Communications I.K.E., Gythiou 3-5, 151 22 Marousi, Athens, Greece, VAT number (ΑΦΜ) 998405988 (EU VAT ID: EL998405988) ("MAPROUTE", "we", "us"). By using maproute.app you accept them. If you are a consumer, nothing here limits the rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

1. The service

MAPROUTE lets you plot a route, style it and export an animated video (MP4, WebM or GIF). Videos render in your own browser, so export speed depends on your device and browser.

2. Accounts

You can make watermarked videos without an account. To save projects or buy clean exports, you need to sign in with an email link or Google. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. You must be at least 15 to use MAPROUTE, and at least 18 (or have a parent's permission) to make a purchase.

3. Free and paid use

  • Free: unlimited exports with a "maproute.app" watermark.
  • Sign-in bonus: one clean (watermark-free) export when you first sign in.
  • Credit packs: each credit is one clean export. Credits never expire, have no cash value and can't be transferred. A credit is only spent when an export finishes; failed exports cost nothing.
  • Pro (monthly or yearly): unlimited clean exports while your subscription is active.

Prices on the site include VAT where required. VAT is calculated from your billing address at checkout.

4. Pro subscriptions

Pro renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in Account → Billing and keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. If we change the price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.

5. Refunds and right of withdrawal

See our Refund & Withdrawal Policy.

6. Your content

You keep all rights to the photos, logos, music, labels and routes you add, and to the videos you make. You give us permission to store and process that content only to provide the service, for example when you save a project.

You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, and that your content is legal and does not infringe anyone else's rights.

7. Using your videos

You may use your exported videos for personal and commercial purposes, including ads.

  • Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License. Every export includes this credit, and you must not remove it.
  • The built-in music loops are public domain (CC0) and free to use.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • remove, hide or bypass the watermark or export limits, other than by buying clean exports
  • interfere with, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or scrape it
  • use MAPROUTE to make illegal, hateful or infringing content
  • resell access to the service

We may suspend accounts that break these rules. Where we can, we'll warn you first.

9. Availability

We work to keep MAPROUTE running but can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Map tiles and place search come from third-party services we don't control. We may change features over time; we won't take away anything you've already paid for without a fair alternative or a refund.

10. Liability

We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, and they do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Ending your account

You can delete your account anytime in Account settings. Unused credits are lost when you delete your account; contact us first if you want to ask about them. We may close accounts for serious or repeated breaches of these terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll tell signed-in users about important changes at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using MAPROUTE after that, the new terms apply.

13. Law and disputes

Greek law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring a claim in its courts. Before going to court, please contact us at info@f1com.gr; most problems are easy to fix. Consumers in Greece can also contact the Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή, www.synigoroskatanaloti.gr).
